Needing Your Prayers
Hi everyone sorry i havent been blogging for a while, however both Pat and I need your prayers at this moment due to the sad loss of Pat's father Alfie Moore. Please pray for strength and guidance for us at this trying time your prayers would be much appreciated needed, as it is good to know we have friends when needed. I can tell you that Alfie made his peace with God so that is a blessing to know that he is with our Lord and Saviour.....Amen.

Another Summer School Over
Dinner time and sister Karen has just gone up to ask for more, brother Stan can't believe it, and brother Dave is just totaly bewildered over the mornings activities. Sister Sylvia is telling the gang to get a grip. Way to go Sis...

Seriously though the whole week was a real blessing, the kids enjoyed it and the grown ups did to, can't wait for next year. May God bless them all and their represented families, through Christ our Lord....Amen

Here's the children happy at their lessons, what's that Henry you can't take any more!!!

The Lost Chord
Hi i just want to share the words of this old poem/song written in 1846 by a lady called
Adelaide A. Procter, all i've found out so far is that she wrote this and a gentleman by the name of Arthur S. Sullivan wrote the music to it in 1876. If any of you could give me further information would you let me know please.
The Lost Chord
Seated one day at the organ, i was weary and ill at ease,
And my fingers wandered idly over the noisy keys;
I know not what i was playing, Or what i was dreaming then,
But i struck one chord of music,
Like the sound of a great Amen,
Like the sound of a great Amen.
It flooded the crimson twilight, Like the close of an angel's psalm,
And it lay on my fevered spirit, With a touch of infinite calm,
It quieted pain and sorrow, Like love overcoming strife,
It seemed the harmonious echo from our discordant life,
It linked all the perplexed meanings into one perfect peace,
And trembled away into silence, As if it were loth to cease;
I have sought but i seek it vainly, That one lost chord devine,
Which came from the soul of the organ, And entered into mine.
It may be that death's bright angel will speak in that chord again;
It may be that only in Heaven i shall hear that great Amen.
It may be that death's bright angel will speak in that chord again;
It may be that only in Heaven i shall hear that great Amen.
